I’m Justin Chisholm wishing you a warm and personal welcome to the Cup Insider America’s Cup website and newsletter.

I have been following and writing about the America’s Cup for the last 20 years and my fascination with yachting’s oldest and most prestigious sporting competition remains undiminished ahead of the 37th edition taking place from August to October 2024 in Barcelona, Spain.

Over my career I have written stories for all the major sailing publications, but now I’ve created my own channel aimed squarely at America’s Cup fans like you. I am delighted and humbled that so many of you have chosen to support me in this new and exciting venture.

My goal is for Cup Insider to become a trusted information source in the build up to AC37 and throughout next year’s competition by producing consistent, positive, honest, and insightful content.

To help me achieve that goal I have based myself in the AC37 host city a full year before racing begins so that I can bring you the inside track on the comings and goings of the teams training here.

We can look forward to an exciting America’s Cup beginning with perhaps the closest and hardest fought Challenger Selection Series we have seen in recent cycles and culminating in what I am sure will be a stunning final – all raced in the world’s fastest and most technologically advanced monohull yachts.

I am looking forward to sharing what I learn here in Barcelona exclusively with you all as free or paid subscribers. Until the end of 2023 all the stories, features, interviews, and podcast episodes will be available to free and paid subscribers. From January 1, 2024 I will start to restrict access to some premium content for paid subscribers only.

Becoming a paid subscriber helps fund my work and will allow me to develop Cup Insider further and at a faster pace. You can become a paid subscriber at any time and I greatly appreciate the support of the many of you who have already done so. As a special bonus paid subscribers can leave comments on stories and also have access to direct chats with me.

Finally, I want to reiterate that my Cup Insider stories are written exclusively for you all. You are my one and only audience, so I genuinely welcome feedback – constructive criticism included – at any time.

Thanks and welcome once again to the Cup Insider America’s Cup website and newsletter.
